The asterisk-bearer, a knight with glasses and blonde hair who doesn't have a name yet, was seen using what looked like a large metal war hammer in his boss battle. Hawkeye was super OP in BS, but was still fun too.Ī new job we've seen in the trailer was a heavily-armored knight called the Castle Knight. With katana gone, I don't know if we'll see jobs like the Swordmaster make a return (unless they just have them wield regular old swords, which could work I guess). While I can see that they maybe wanted to simplify the weapon system and not make it too complicated, I'm still sad to see that we might not see certain jobs because of these weapons disappearing.įrom what we've seen, the Monk appears to be the only job that specializes in bare-handed / fist fighting combat. Rods and Staves have seemingly been fused together into a single category, and katana, knuckles, firearms, and greatswords have seemingly been cut. Which is much fewer than what we've seen in past games.

So from what we saw in the demo, the only current weapon types are swords, daggers, axes, spears, Staves, and Bows. While the game looks great so far and I can't wait to get it in February, I'm still a bit unsure on how they're gonna handle the weapons. So with the new trailers for BD2 coming out a couple weeks ago, we got to see a glimpse of some new jobs and gameplay.
